And mod it!

Step 1 - Mod the case, by painting it.*
Step 2 - Swap the HDD for a good one; between 250gb and 320gb
Step 3 - Softmod and install XBMC.
Step 4 - Buy Halo and Halo 2.
Step 5 - ?
Step 6 - PROFIT!
* - Since the Xbox is all PC parts, said parts can all be removed from the case. From there, I can just spray paint the case.

I'll keep regular updates, with pictures and shit.

Give me ideas for designs for the case mod! If you suggest one I like, I'll give you a reward. Try to keep it limited to something I can make a stencil out of.

So a few of these steps went outta order. -_-;
I manage to trade my PS2 (slim) for a pre-modded Xbox. However, XBMC isn't installed (another software is) and it still uses the original 8.4gb HDD. So, I'm gonna have to swap the HDD and do the softmod again on my own.

However, this saves me a ton of money. About $45, to be more accurate. So I just need to get the internal HDD and do the above steps.

SO! The new order is..

Step 0 - Get the appropriate game to soft mod with (Splinter Cell, $2)
Step 1 - Case mod
Step 2 - HDD swap
Step 3 - Soft mod (XBMC)
Step 4 - Buy Halo and Halo 2
Step 5 - ?
Step 6 - PROFIT!

I still have a PS1 so my PS1 games won't go to waste. I snagged a copy of Megaman X4 too; I still love that game. Beat it with Zero in about an hour and a half. I also have Halo 2 on the HDD, so that'll keep me busy until I softmod the console again and add on the emulators.

First thing I do with the modded Xbox? Simple: emulator, N64, Killer Instinct Gold. I'm gonna study that game.
